O artigo apresenta uma análise descritiva dos dados sobre migração internacional provenientes do Censo Demográfico 2010, tanto dos quesitos de imigração, tradicionalmente investigados, quanto dos quesitos inovadores sobre a emigração. Além disso, adere ao debate sobre a pertinência de se classificar o Brasil enquanto País de imigração ou emigração.
This article presents a descriptive analysis of data on international migration obtained from the 2010 Demographic Census regarding both immigration issues, traditionally studied, as well as innovative issues on emigration. In addition, it adds to the debate on the pertinence of classifying Brazil as an immigration or emigration country.
