In this article I reflect on the ways in which certain art projects
have an important role in resisting inequalities, challenging political systems that fail to include refugees and immigrants. I present four case studies, in Portugal, that intersect anthropological research and participatory art. I conclude by presenting some evidence of how artistic projects involving
migrants are effective at social inclusion, such as learning the language of the host country.
