This paper seeks to contribute with current debates on the political dimensions of migration and their expressions in urban contexts. It is based on the findings of a research on the participation of Peruvian migrants that live in slums in the political mobilization for housing that has been taking place in the city of Buenos Aires during the past decade. Through the analysis of the migratory, housing and political experiences of a group of migrants, the paper explores this process of political subjectivity construction.
