The theoretical object of this research is the representations of otherness about migrants and the new logics of how racism works on Facebook, through a specific case study. The research question is whether particular representations and logics of the functioning of racism have particular characteristics, in the context studied, by being conveyed through virtual social networks. The methodology has been content analysis. The results point out to a recrudescence of the racist discourses conveyed through these social media, in comparison with the discourses that can be found in the traditional mass media.
