Xenofobização da mulher negra migrante no processo de construção do feminino em emigração: a migração feminina haitiana em Santo Domingo

Este artigo problematiza os vieses construtores da xenofobia que se matiza de racismo e sexismo contra as imigrantes haitianas em Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. Não percebidas como imigrantes, mas englobadas na sociedade dominicana como o estrato mais inferior da hierarquia social dominicana, as imigrantes haitianas têm sua sexualidade controlada por seus compatriotas e assumem um comportamento endogâmico. Tal visão dialoga diretamente com a própria concepção da mulher no nacionalismo haitiano: a de guardiã da nação.

This article focuses on the xenophobia construction that infects with racism and sexism against Haitian female migrants in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. They are not seen as immigrants, but included in the Dominican Society as an inferior layer of the Dominican society hierarchy. Haitian female migrants have their sexuality controlled by their male compatriots and to assume a non mixed marriage behavior. This point of view dialogues directly with the concept of women in Haitian nationalism: as being the nation’s guardians.
