This article analyzes the trajectory of a small group of Haitians who completed higher education courses at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), between 2019 and 2021. In concrete terms, we examine the relationship between habitus and capital of each migrant who attended Portuguese classes, completed higher education and started his professional career. The selection of interviewees was carried out from the database of immigrant and refugee students made available by the Pro-Rectory of Student Affairs at UFPR. As a theoretical framework, we used the concepts of immigrant habitus and migratory capital, developed from the Theory of Practice (Pierre Bourdieu, 1930-2002). In summary, it is clear that those immigrants with adequate habitus and specific capital were more successful in their educational paths and insertion in the labor market.
