Avançando na Virada Reflexiva
Rumo à pesquisa participativa sobre migração na Alemanha e além

A migração tem sido há muito tempo o centro de acalorados debates políticos, acadêmicos e públicos, e a Alemanha não é exceção. A controvérsia prolongada a respeito do entendimento da Alemanha sobre si própria como um país de imigração cristaliza tensões políticas mais amplas. Primeiro, este artigo situa as políticas alemãs de migração e integração em seu contexto histórico pós-guerra, mostrando como elas têm oscilado entre humanitarismo, economização e securitização. Em seguida, analisa como a pesquisa sobre migração na Alemanha está frequentemente estruturalmente entrelaçada com as políticas, por exemplo, através do uso irrefletido de conceitos problemáticos que têm origem em debates políticos. Então, o artigo destaca um outro aspecto relacionado com a necessidade de uma virada reflexiva nos estudos sobre migração que possa ajudar a abordar as tensões anteriormente mencionadas, abrindo possibilidades de mudança relevantes não só para a Alemanha, mas também para a pesquisa sobre migração de forma mais ampla. Enfatiza-se a importância da reflexividade epistemológica e ético-política em relação a projetos de pesquisa participativa e transferências estratégicas de conhecimento além da academia. Concluímos que ir além de abordagens puramente diagnósticas e caminhar em direção à geração de conhecimento para a ação pode melhorar o acesso a direitos e recursos, apoiar mudanças institucionais e políticas e promover o empoderamento entre grupos marginalizados, mantendo-se compatível com o rigor científico e o mandato democrático da pesquisa sobre migração.
